MY JOURNEY TO BETTER SKIN

Today I'm sharing something that I normally don't like to share. In fact, if you don't know me personally, chances are, you've never seen me without makeup (except an occasional snapchat session or two lol). Well underneath that makeup, my skin isn't where I would like it to be, which free of any scarring.

Fortunately, I don't have acne prone skin; it comes once a month around that time of the month. Two pimples will pop up and go away, but they'll leave a scar that takes, what seems like, decades to fade away. I figured it was time to seriously do something about it.

So check it (lol), my skin care routine has not always been the best. I'd make sure it's clean and moisturized, then keep it pushing. Occasionally I would use a toner, but that's all. Back in December, I purchased the Ultimate Skin Spa System from Vanity Planet, but I didn't start using it until maybe February. Changed my life (lol)... You'll be surprised at how not clean your face is once you get a cleansing brush system. In this set, you get 3 brush heads; one for cleansing, one for exfoliating, and the other is a silicone brush for those with dry and sensitive skin. Also, you can find so many coupons for Vanity Planet, so you wouldn't even have to pay full price!!

In addition to purchasing, and using, the cleansing brush system, I've also changed my skin care products. I've decided to go the more natural route because a lot of the non-natural/organic products have ingredients that aren't the best for my skin. So for cleansing, I am using African Black Soap. You can purchase this ANYWHERE, but if you don't want to search, you can find black soap at your local Target or Walmart. I've seen and heard of many results after using black soap and decided to use it to see if its African magic can work on me. For the toner, I decided to go with Botanics Organic Rosewater and Toning Spritz, which can be found at Target. I honestly wanted to try the Tea Tree Toner by The Body Shop, but I was too lazy to drive to the mall to pick it up. Lastly, I'm using Burt's Bees Brightening Dark Spot Corrector and Brightening Even Skin Tone Moisturizing Cream. I wasn't so sure about these two products, because I've never used Burt's Bees skin care. So in the upcoming weeks, we'll see how well they work.

Well you guys, that is all for part one of my journey to better skin. Hopefully you all will follow along. If not, hopefully I'll motivate you to take a look into your skin care products and/or routine.
Have a great day!!

XO, Deanna
